BACKGROUND


These amazing people have worked on projects ranging from curriculum development, designing HR systems and processes, financial management, designing marketing campaigns, website design, designing and implementing fundraising campaigns, leadership development, photography, teacher training, making videos, programme design and documentation.

Your role will vary based on your level of experience and personal background.

The Experience


YOUR ROLE


As a volunteer, you are an integral part of our workforce, bringing expertise and experience to our work with education NGOs and social enterprises.


  • You apply to become a volunteer with your details and areas of interest.

  • Based on your skill set, interests and the needs of partner organisations, we identify exciting projects for you to work on.

  • Once you are assigned to an organisation, your first month of work includes learning and observation, as well as conceptualising your project with the Atma portfolio organisation.

  • Following this, you will help the partner organisation to execute the project, implement systems and processes, and contribute across key areas to enable the organisation to grow their impact.

Finance Volunteer

Mumbai, India


The volunteer is expected to Assess financial needs and cash flow requirements, develop a robust and basic financial management system with a focus on budget preparation, forecasting, financial planning and analysis.

Fundraising Volunteer

Mumbai, India


The volunteer will be responsible for coming up with new fundraising ideas and business opportunities, establishing ongoing fundraising programmes, researching potential donors and foundations to identify and evaluate potential funding sources, monitoring the programme, tracking and documenting all necessary activities, and meeting all reporting deadlines.

Governance Volunteer

Mumbai, India


The volunteer will be responsible for identifying the leadership team's and board's knowledge and skill gaps, forming an advisory board for our partner organisation, and determining the board's size and scope.

Human Resources Volunteer

Mumbai, India


The volunteer will be responsible for doing a full HR audit for the partner organisation, writing and revising written job descriptions, establishing Performance Appraisal systems, and assisting staff in understanding and monitoring the process.

Leadership Volunteer

Mumbai, India


The volunteer is expected to collaborate with our partner organisations' senior leadership to develop Leadership Development Plans and develop systems, policies, and training programmes to improve management skills and capacity to better support our partner organisations' work.

Monitoring and Evaluation Volunteer

Mumbai, India


The volunteer is expected to conduct an M&E audit to evaluate our partner organization's existing tools and processes, recommend improvements to the logical framework/logic model, create outputs and outcome indicators based on the logical framework, and design tools and trackers to track our partner organization's outputs and outcomes.

Marketing Volunteer

Mumbai, India


The volunteer will conduct market research and develop a customised plan to reach out to our partner organization's stakeholders via multiple channels, track success metrics (website analytics, social media ROI), and build capacity by training staff in social media communication best practices/communications best practises.

Programme Volunteer

Mumbai, India


The volunteer is expected to learn about our partner organization's programmes and services and record that information in a detailed operations manual; to ensure that the operations manual can be used as a guideline document by new staff at the organisation with minimal training; and to collaborate with senior leadership to conduct an audit of existing programmes.
